Delete your account

In the app

1. Open Compound and sign in.
2. Tap your profile picture to open Settings.
3. Under Account, tap Delete Account, then confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away.

Without the app

Email [email protected] from the email address you use for Compound, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll check that the account is yours and delete it within 30 days.

What's deleted

• Your account: email address, name, profile photo and how you sign in.
• Your settings, listening activity and bookmarks.
• Your episode ratings and feedback.
• Which ads you've heard.
• Your subscription status with us, and your device's notification token.

This is deleted from our database straight away, and from our backups within 30 days. If you signed in with Apple, Compound is also disconnected from your Apple ID.

What's kept

• A record of your agreement: your email address and the dates and versions of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy you accepted, for six years, to establish or defend legal claims.
• Purchase records, kept by Apple or Google and by our subscription provider, for accounting, tax and fraud prevention.
• Crash reports for up to 90 days and usage analytics for up to one year, linked only to pseudonymous identifiers.

Your subscription

Deleting your account doesn't cancel a Compound+ subscription. Cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
